The 2022 UK Blog Awards: Please Vote for Not Dressed As Lamb

I accept to start this post with an apology and say that yes, I am a hypocrite… A year agone I vowed I wouldn't enter the 2022 U.k. Blog Awards.

But hither I am, asking if yous, my love readers, would exist good enough to vote for me yet once more. Your support earlier this year for the 2022 awards was amazing – I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciated it (especially equally I was shortlisted every bit a consequence of your voting and wore my dream Cinderella-way outfit to the awards ceremony and felt like a fairy princess for a nighttime).

And so why the change of heart?

It meant you either had to badger people every single twenty-four hour period for virtually three weeks in order to stand a adventure of existence nominated – or yous didn't, and were then upward against bloggers who were prepared to badger people for votes every 24-hour interval.

I'm glad to say that this year, it'southward changed – I'd like to call up that myself and another nominee at this year's awards, Michelle of The Bluff Chic, had something to do with the alter… Nosotros spoke to the organiser at the ceremony and begged her to alter information technology to one person, one vote.

And our intervention fabricated a departure – it'south at present one vote per electronic mail address, which is more than off-white. A year agone I said I wouldn't enter in 2022 every bit I wasn't prepared to badger people to vote for me every day again, only the new voting organization made me modify my mind, as did one other matter…

The awards anniversary was and then much fun, and such a great celebration of blogging in the United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland (non just mode but all genres from travel to arts & culture, dating, health & social care and more), that we said it would be a shame non to attend again in 2017.

And so I was fabricated to hope on the night (a champagne-fuelled pinky swear, I hasten to admit) that I would enter over again, if just to get at to the lowest degree one 40+ blogger shortlisted, to back up them on the night, and to accept a peachy evening out.

So if yous've been good plenty to read this far and wade through my pathetically (un?)apologetic ramblings every bit to why I've entered again, could I perchance ask that you please vote for me here to go shortlisted once again? It'due south super quick and easy.

If y'all're feeling generous, y'all can vote once with every email accost yous have. And if you need a good reason to vote for me, do it not only for the fact that you like my blog (which I hope you practice, and if yous don't, well… why are yous however reading?!), but to ensure there's some representation of the 40+ community in the fashion and dazzler category.

Many brands whose market is the older woman still employ younger bloggers to promote their products, and we need to brand sure older bloggers are recognised every bit being on equal terms as the twenty-somethings. A few of my young man Over40Collective members have entered as well – if we can get just I of u.s. shortlisted it'd be a swell victory for 40+ bloggers. We want to show more brands that older woman tin can accomplish groovy things in a youth-biased manufacture.

And if one of us were to actually win… Well, I'1000 not quite certain what we'd do. We can't do it without your support though – so please, please, show anybody that older women stone and VOTE FOR ME!
